简介：California Film Awards Diamond Award( For her short movie Help Me) winning director Lu Liu finished her graduate thesis movie A Tibetan Marriage in 2013. Lu kept this idea for four years. Before shooting, she went to Tibet three times for fundraising, locking locations, casting, etc. In 2012 summer, she returned China to recruit her crews from local. Along with the Tibetan crews, she also invented talents from the United States, where she achieved her Master Degree in Film Directing from Miami University. The principal shooting started in December, 2012 and took 2 weeks until official picture wrap. Language barrier between crew and actors, high altitude location, terrible weather condition, alone with all the unexpected difficulties challenged her everyday. But Lu said, filmmaking is not just winning awards and walking on the red carpet. She gets in this industry is because it is the most challenging thing she has ever met. And at the end, she and her crew walked through the fire and get the thought-provoking movie--- A Tibetan Marriage.
