可窥见此时的西部题材模式化严重，剧至中段已崩，后面完全带不动。选警长一定是韦恩，伊娜·巴林看着有几分像索菲亚·罗兰。
马战大场面。 属于西部爽片性质，纯粹看剧本的话，惨不忍睹。
立意很新，讲的是军火贩子和印第安人之间的中间黑手党的故事。摄影配乐都是上乘，约翰韦恩演起这种双雄片来简直游刃有余，让人百看不厌。
六零年初，西部回勇。但与二十年前的关山红河不同，此时段西部的主题重心放在：江山久定之后，制度运转已趋僵腐，传统消失殆尽，私欲横行于世……本片主人公之所以遭跨州通缉，只因合法的公平决斗中打死了法官的儿子；同年福特那片，则是受联邦与土著签订条约所限，游骑兵无法依法深入保留区调查绑架案。但此类西部回潮之中最犀利的故事却不是发生在好莱坞，它的首发主人公叫做——千千岩求女。
这片子算不错了，整体上情节、场面都非常不错。而且也远比那些在一个小镇上几个人拼抢还好不少。总之，这片子非常不错。
牛仔嘴仗比枪战好看
这片算是亮点槽点各一半，好处是把黑帮与牛仔的渊源连接起来了，中间各种简单无脑也就算了，可最后竟然快成狗血爱情片了
