Plot Summary:Ge Shisan, Chang Erkuan and Chou Wa are three people with distinct life experiences and different personalities. They are hot-blooded ordinary soldiers of Northwest Army. They get together due to fate and chance and become brothers who are ready to die for each other. When the Anti-Japanese War breaks out near the Yellow River, they join the Communist Party, the Kuomintang and the Japanese invasion forces respectively. From then on, their fates diverge because of their own choices. To achieve their own goals, they are forced to fight each other. Nevertheless, from time to time, they also get confused and miserable because of their previous friendship.
